Monte Vista Christian School was proudly represented at the prestigious Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Oregon, as two standout athletes delivered record-breaking performances on a national stage.

Incoming freshman Joseph Palacios, who recently graduated from MVC's 8th grade class, made a strong impression by competing in both the 800m and 1600m events. Joey set personal records in both races, clocking an impressive 4:47 in the mile and 2:12 in the 800m, showcasing both endurance and promise as he prepares to enter high school competition.

Joining him was rising sophomore Anna Conca, who competed in the freshman girls' mile and delivered a remarkable performance. Anna not only achieved a personal record but also etched her name into MVC history by setting a new school record in the mile with a time of 5:08, earning her 5th place overall in a highly competitive field.

These outstanding performances are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both athletes, and they signal a bright future for the MVC track and field program. As Joseph begins his high school journey and Anna continues to build on her momentum, Monte Vista Christian has plenty to be excited about in the seasons ahead.
