MVC Track and Field Breaks Records At The O’Condon Invitational

The Monte Vista Christian track and field team delivered a powerhouse performance at their latest invitational meet, collecting multiple personal records, top finishes, and even a meet record along the way.

On the girls' side, Anna Conca and Finley Castro dominated the 800m, both setting new personal records. Conca claimed 1st place with an impressive 2:25, while Castro followed closely behind, taking 4th with a time of 2:30.

In the sprints, Kylie Fitzpatrick was a standout for the frosh/soph girls, winning both the 100m and 200m races with personal bests in each. The frosh/soph girls' placed 2nd overall out of 15 schools, showcasing the depth and talent of the underclassmen.

The girls also dominated in the women's 4x100m relay team where they took 1st place finish. In the pole vault, Eleanor Crane and Gabriella Telles took 1st and 2nd.

On the boys' side, Conor Gilliam had a sensational day. He placed 2nd in the 400m with a personal record time of 52 seconds, then came back strong in the 800m to not only win the event but set an Invitational record with a 2:01 finish.

To round out the day, Gavin Beckmen crushed the 3200m with a 1st place finish and a personal best time of 10:10, adding yet another top result for the Mustangs.
