With nearly two decades of international playing and coaching experience, Coach Jacquees “Ghozt” Oard brings passion, faith, and leadership to Monte Vista Christian.

Welcome Coach Ghozt to MVC Basketball

Monte Vista Christian is excited to welcome Coach Jacquees "Ghozt" Oard, to our athletics community. While many know him by his middle name, Ghozt, his reputation as a leader, athlete, and trainer speaks volumes.

Coach Ghozt brings over 19 years of basketball experience as both a player and coach. His playing career includes time overseas in the EuroLeague with Valencia, Spain, and a recent invitation to the 2025 G-League Combine. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, he was preparing for the 2020 Olympic Trials, a testament to his high-level dedication and skill.

In addition to basketball, Coach Ghozt has been a personal trainer for more than 8 years, specializing in strength training, speed and endurance development, weight loss, and nutrition guidance. His ability to connect athletic performance with overall health and discipline will be a tremendous asset to our program.

Most importantly, Coach Ghozt is passionate about teaching life values through the game of basketball. He is committed to helping student-athletes grow not only as players but also as people who understand their identity in Christ. By weaving together athletic discipline and spiritual truth, he looks forward to building a program where faith and competition go hand in hand.

Now based in the San Jose area, Coach Ghozt is preparing to open his own gym while stepping into this new role at MVC. His passion for rebuilding and elevating the Mustang basketball program is clear, and we are thrilled to see the impact he will make on our student-athletes both on and off the court.
