Monte Vista Christian's Varsity Baseball secured another victory on Tuesday, keeping their perfect season intact. The Mustangs dominated the North Salinas Vikings, cruising to a 12-2 win.
Brady Cortez played a crucial role in the win, excelling both on the mound and at the plate. He pitched four strong innings, striking out six while allowing just two earned runs on two hits. Offensively, Cortez contributed by scoring a run, stealing a base, and reaching base in two of his three plate appearances.
Carter Wright delivered at the plate, going 3-for-3, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.
Jackson Haddad also made a impact at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
With the win, the Mustangs improved to 5-0, marking their third consecutive home victory. Their success has been fueled by stellar pitching, allowing an average of just 0.7 runs per game at home.
