The MVC Comp Cheer team made an impressive showing at the USA Cheer Regionals this past weekend.

Competing in two categories, the team excelled in both their stunt group routine and full-team performance.

The stunt group delivered a flawless routine, earning first place in the intermediate division against a strong competitor, Amador Valley. The win qualifies them to compete at Nationals next month in Anaheim.

As for the team performance, MVC competed in a challenging mixed division, which included medium, large, and super-large teams. Despite facing powerhouse teams like Pioneer, which fields 34 athletes, the Mustangs placed second overall. Notably, they secured first place among all medium-sized teams.

Taking home these wins at a regional event is a significant achievement for the team. It provides a strong indication of their potential success at Nationals in February where they will only compete against schools of the same size and skill level.

In the meantime, the team now shifts its focus to the CCS Championships this upcoming weekend, a crucial stepping stone on the road to Nationals.
