This past weekend, MVC Swim showed an impressive performance at the 2023 PCAL Swim Championships under the guidance of new Head Coach Chris Staka. The Boys' Varsity team claimed the top spot in the PCAL Mission Division while the Girls' Varsity team secured 3rd place.
The girls' 200 Free Relay team, composed of Isabel Beck, Megan Gill, Mary Claire Scott, and Devenn Keegan, placed 1st. Isabel Beck took 2nd place in the 100 Backstroke, Megan Gill finished 2nd in the 100 Freestyle, and Devenn Keegan earned 3rd place in the 50 Freestyle.
Meanwhile, the boys' 200 Medley Relay team, made up of Mario Gonzalez, Ethan Smith, Micah Strock, and Tyler Gill, placed 1st. Tyler Gill secured 2nd place in the 50 Freestyle and 3rd place in the 100 Freestyle. Mario Gonzalez Chavez took 2nd place in the 100 Free, and Micah Strock was the champion in the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly events.
