MVC hires Carly Reilly Allen as new Athletic Trainer

MVC is thrilled to announce the hiring of Carly Reilly Allen as it's new Athletic Trainer. Carly received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Utah in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. Carly worked at the University of Utah in Clinical Rotations for Utah Football, Volleyball, Softball, and Men's Basketball. She also was the host Athletic Trainer for visiting teams at the University of Utah for Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Softball.

She later became the Head Athletic Trainer at East High School in Salt Lake City, UT before becoming part of the Athletic Training team at the University of California Santa Cruz, her most recent position. At UC Santa Cruz, she was responsible for the injury education, prevention, evaluation, and treatment of NCAA and club sport student-athletes, concentrating on Women's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Swim and Dive, and Men's and Women's Rugby. 

Carly states, "I am very excited to join the MVC community as their new athletic trainer. I am looking forward to using my knowledge and experience to serve our student athletes and grow even more as a healthcare professional."

Matt Coleman, Director of Athletics adds, "Carly brings a wide variety of experience to our athletic program, along with the desire to share her knowledge with student-athletes who may be interested in pursuing a career in athletic training. I'm looking forward to seeing Carly lead our Sports Medicine Program and taking it to the next level." 

Carly's first official day is Friday, November 18. We welcome Carly and her family to Mustang Nation!
