MVC Volleyball starts 6-0

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team has been on a roll this season, starting off with an impressive 6-0 record. The Mustangs have showcased their dominance on the court, defeating opponents in a series of impressive victories.

MVC's season began with a clean sweep against Seaside High School on August 29, followed by dominant wins over Rancho San Juan on August 30 and Scotts Valley on September 4. The Mustangs faced a tough challenge against Scotts Valley, but ultimately prevailed in a thrilling five-set match. After that thrilling five-set victory, MVC traveled to Monterey on September 5 and won another thrilling five-set match (14-25, 25-21, 25-20, 13-25, 15-13).

The team's recent victories over Live Oak High School and North Salinas further solidified their hard work is paying off. As the season continues, the Mustangs will face even tougher challenges when the Gabilan division league play starts. 

Upcoming Matches:

  • Thursday, September 12th: MVC will host North Salinas. JV plays at 5:00 PM, followed by Varsity at 6:00 PM.
  • Saturday, September 14th: MVC will participate in the St. John Bosco Invitational Tournament at St. Francis in Watsonville.
