What a game it was for the boys varsity basketball team as they kicked off their D4 CCS Playoff journey with a thrilling win against San Jose High! Although MVC started a bit slow, trailing 6-12 in the first quarter, they found their rhythm and turned things around, outscoring San Jose High 18-4 in the second quarter.
Keeping the momentum going in the second half, MVC scored 10 points in the third quarter, while San Jose High countered with 16. When it mattered the most, MVC stepped up their game yet again in the fourth quarter, adding 17 points to secure the win, while limiting San Jose High to 4 points. A 51-36 final!
With this win, MVC's record now stands at an impressive 18-7, a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season. The journey doesn't end here for the Mustangs. Next up, they'll face Palma in what promises to be another exciting match-up in the Second Round.
