We Are Going To State

This past weekend Nathan Fernandez took 3rd place at the CCS Wrestling Championships. Nathan on his own beat 41 other schools in total points. With Nathans 3rd place finish in CCS he has now qualified for the State Wrestling Championships in Bakersfield. Per an article from the Santa Cruz Sentinel: "Santa Cruz County came up painstakingly short in its bid of having a boy's finalist. Monte Vista Christian School junior Nate Fernandez (220) was the lone local to reach the semis, in which his opponent, No. 1 Raymond Russell of Riordan, secured a 13-11 sudden-victory. Fernandez advanced from the quarterfinals at 220 pounds by pinning Menlo-Atherton senior Misiteni Eke, his third win by fall in as many matches." Congratulations on a great season! Go Mustangs! WE ARE GOING TO STATE!!! LET'S GO!!!
